for your service desk
Overcee has been built from the ground up with security in mind. Its web service utilises your existing security infrastructure for authenticating users via Kerberos1 over a secure HTTPS/TLS2 connection.
Working with your Active Directory setup, Overcee doesn't store any passwords, instead trusting to proven technologies to authenticate users and check their group memberships.
1 Web service must be properly configured to use Kerberos, otherwise NTLM may be used (see Administrator's Guide). 2 A valid certificate must be installed on the web service(s) to enable HTTPS support (see Administrator's Guide).
Overcee's internal containers (both those based on your Active Directory OU structure and custom containers) are all managed by a granular ACL system, allowing you to control exactly who has access to what.
